I'd definitely give it a go but I have my reservations about the channel 5 version ? .... I doubt it would live up to the original.

According to the BBC, it's a two year deal. Probably the sensible deal, as a five year sounds to risky, especially it being on Channel 5. And with no Davina plus will Marcus Bentley do it?

I suppose because it just takes over - not my life, not this year because I have other things to do but it interferes with TV schedules and all sorts.

I suppose ( and I have said it before) I am not a true BB fan. I liked it when it was on - well the first 3 series and series 5. Then it began to get tedious.

Yes it's back, gives me more to watch on Channel 5 than Home and Away.

And Channel 4 will have to up the anti....and put on good programmes.....sounds all good to me.....

I wonder how Davina feels about all this? She must feel a bit gutted that it's not actually over and someone else will take over after she said her farewell........I didn't always like her on BB, especially when she started showing blatant bias for and against HMs, but I feel a bit sorry for her. Am I mad?

I'd got used to living without it, and I know if I start watching I'll get hooked again.

I'm super excited but keeping my pants on.      Well.. i'm mildy pleased, but I'll be super excited come August.     For all I got sick of Davina a bit, it will seem strange if it's not her doing it, but not to have Marcus Bentley would be even worse.

I'd say you were a true BB fan Issy ... I loved the first 5 series too (yes, even 4 as it had my all time favourite housemate Mr Tickle). After that it got all "celebrity" and attracted some hideous applicants. I MUCH preferred the old "social experiment" days before it became all about forging a crap media career. 

And please tell me Cheryl Cole isn't hosting ...  I really can't be doing with that woman.

I'd like to see Davina back but it looks like they didn't want to pay her fee (although I'm sure I read something about Johnathan Ross working on it, or he was in talks with them?). I hope Marcus Bentley is back and not some caricature they've drafted in for minimum wage in the hope of a voice over career.

As it's Desmond's show though I imagine the weekly tasks will be along the lines of pregnancy and paternity tests

Not that it matters in the slightest in the bigger scheme of things but I chose NO. Reason for that is I'm not good on will power, I don't want to watch another BB as it's soooooo time consuming over a few months and surely life's too short to waste so much time on it only to never care about such people again afterwards and who'd never care about us anyway lol. BUT most of you will be having threads and discussion about it/them and I'll get curious and tune in and get caught up in it all...why couldn't they let it die just like other programmes do eventually, grrrrrr   

But you could just watch a bit 

I voted "I'm intrigued" as im not sure BB will ever be as good on c5 than it used to be on channel4, but it's good news for us BB junkies.

I cant stand old long face  Lauren Laverne , shes TOTALLY unfunny on that 10 o'clock show and theres s9omething unlikeable about her.

Anyway I dont think she'd ever do BB as she thinks shes too cool for this show.

 Jon Tickle is up there as one of my favourite housemates ever.... his rendition of Hotel California was TV gold.

But after that - no thanks. It began to annoy me.

Me too ................I'm not sure if I'll watch this one though. I got more and more disillusioned as the years rolled by. I kind of said goodbye at the end of the last series.

I feel a bit liberated TBH ..............not making any promises though
