I e mail French friends fairly regularly - I usually type a message in English and then copy and paste it after putting it through the French translator. Our friends do the same ......................some of the phrases are quite hilarious.

'we kiss you warmly'

'at the farewell when many would want you from another time'

'Bring your golf equipment to discover a golf popular'

I would dearly love to know how some of my messages translate

What on earth was that meant to say?

I do know but it's sort of complicated.

We are visiting France for the twinning weekend but prior to that are also visiting some other friends out there. She is asking if we are going to stay right to the end of the twinning with all the big farewells etc. - or would we prefer to leave a little earlier to see our English friends.

As i say it's a bit complicated!

I know it's not quite the same, but can you not put the 'tranlated into French' one through the French-to-English' bit and see how it compares to the original English?

where well do you wish to leave for another moment?  Thank you for your response.  We kiss yourself anne-marieïŧŋ

If you keep putting it through different translators, it may, eventually, make sense!

As in the 'infinite number of monkeys' thing.

Are you SURE there's no time travel involved?

Well they are an hour ahead of us in France  Not so good on the overnight ferry out when you're up partying but ....................the hour you gain on the way back (after a hectic holiday) is blissful.

I think Soozy should sneak a mention of the Tardis in the next one, just to check!

And stand well back....cos it might just explode!
