considering the amount of council tax that is used to create cycle paths, that the majority of cyclists studiously avoid using in my area, then they should be paying some thing for them.
£88,000 my local council spent on creating 4 miles of dual carriageway cycle path from my village to the local town, the cycle path is the width of a road carriageway and it runs along a narrow lane,in places,it's a beautiful creation, do the cyclists use it? of course they don't they prefer to amble along the road, smoking a fag and admiring the view whilst all the world and his brother get stuck behind them for the duration.
thank god for electric windows eh? you can wind them down, lean over as you get abreast of the cyclist and shout at him really loud...
