I found on Wiki there's a law in the UK on this:

Racial and Religious Hatred Act 2006

And in the “religious hatred” means hatred against a group of persons defined by reference to religious belief or lack of religious belief.  So I think you are safe in using that in your essay.

There is a word "religism" in use, but I'm not sure that's a real word.

You'd think that, but it was originally coined as a term for anti-Jewish, in Germany, and has stuck with that meaning ever since.

The fact that Arabs can be accused of being antisemitic makes no sense, considering that they are a Semitic people, but that's how it is!
