I smoke myself but I could not believe how many times they smoke in smoke free places, offices, hotels, taxis, are they really that dumb or do they think they are above the law coz they are on telly and famous?. I used to like Lily but she is really coming across as a dumbass that needs to grow up. Somehow I can't see her business lasting at all, she has no idea how to run a business, and wants her half sister to do all the monkey work, whilst she swans around in designer gear that normal people probably can't afford to even rent, and her base idea of making it affordable to people on a low wage seems to have gone right out the window, I think they live in a superficial world of celebs , parties and champagne, what a bunch of idiots, worst of all, if ya don't want to be famous anymore don't make a documentary about yourself love!

I can't believe she was smoking in a room full of clothes she wants to rent out, alright they had plastic covering on them but they will still stink, and what they started a fire and it all burnt down? She has really gone down in my expectations, what a twat! She should think herself lucky she has ÂĢ250,000 to put into the business at the beginning, and then be able to approach the Coutts bank!

Sorry.

I believe it's one huge reality p-take. Or that's what I read. If not, I've had the ultimate reality p-taken out of me.

I don't think it is a piss take coz I looked at her website wihich is crap as well, and found loads of media sites talking abou her shop, I wanted to send her an email asking why she thinks she can smoke in smoke free environments but then what's the point she probably won't even reply to it.

I tried to write, I don't think the whole thing is a piss take as I googled her website which isn't that good anyway, I was gonna email her to ask her why she thinks it's OK for her and her sis to brake the law about the smoking ban, but decided not to as she probably wouldn't even bother replying back anyway! I bet she's never in the shop anyway. There were loads of media websites commenting about her business, most taking the piss actually.

I'm not interested in today's so called celebs so haven't followed whatever she achieved musically. I'v watched the 2 episodes but haven't warmed to her so far. As mentioned her step sister seems to be doing all the real work which is a surprise from what we were told about her. Lily may have started off with a desire to be in the fashion trade but she's now coming across as not being fully committed. To want a shop that's off the beaten track of thousands of daily passers by is surely financial suicide, does she really assume that just because she's had a "musical career" people are going to drive or walk out of their way to rent a dress from her when they could probably buy one that's cheaper. Atm it's hard to imagine she'll still be in business in a couple of years time, but I really don't think that would bother her, she's a butterfly going from one thing to another.

I've just caught five minutes of the programme I assume you're talking about.       I've never been a particular fan of hers, but I've just really warmed to her in a few minutes.   She's very self aware... said she's never been passionate about anything and always felt that having kids and making a home is her real vocation - she's been quite coy and excited at the prospect of trying for a baby.    Given what happened to her in the ensuing months I really feel for her.

It was really sad when she was saying all that

Despite what I said above I admire her more for wanting the pleasures in life of a husband and children than desiring fame or money. I was aware she'd had a miscarriage and as one who has been through that twice I know how utterly devastating that can be. Whatever she hopes for in life that will make her happy I sincerely hope it happens for her

I'm totally interested in fashion as art.  Like, a lot of ladies shoes are ****ing awesome.  I went to the shoe exhibition at the V&A or wherever the fug it was and was as good as any Henry Moore.  And more....

Coco Chanel....etc...digging it.

Trends are just vulgar, insecure and nothingy really.  Met too many people - both genders - who know everything about what some two bob magazine has told them is the colour for the season yet have no interest at all in the artistry of the designers constructing the couture.

Like being told wut baked beans are teh right shade to eat but really....  *shrug*

Haven't watched the programme but I like Lily Allen - I like a lot of her songs and I fully agree with what you say

Not interested in Fashion, though, so not really interested in that part.
Having caught a bit of the show, I'm quite liking them too. Lily seems very insecure yet brutally honest, and her sister is flourishing with all the responsibility of starting up a new business. Even the fashionista PR lady that works with them who only says 'Amaaaaaaazing' is making me giggle.

She may be brave because she had a miscarriage and still wants a kid, but thousands of other women in this world go through the same thing, she is no braver. This still doesn't explain how she and her half sister still think it's OK to smoke on camera in smoke free places. I just think to myself how dumb are you to not realise what you are doing, and would I want to rent clothing off you that you had blown fags all over, and yes I smoke myself.

I didn't mean it that way,m  it just fecks me off when just coz someone in the public eye goes through something thousands of others do, it's treated as if there experience is even more important. I still think she's a dumbass now though.
I don't think it's really treated as anymore important TBH. I'm sure anyone of us who have friends or family who've been through the same thing simply empathise - that's all.

It's simply the fact that she's in the public eye (somehow when everyone knows and it's splashed all over the papers) it must be even harder (if that's possible). I would imagine when something like that happens all you want to do is get home, curl up and cry ..........................when you have 100's if not 1000's of people knowing your business (through no fault of your own it must be very hard.)

I was also wondering about the flaunting aspect of the complaint

QUOTING ALL COCKEYED; THIS IS WHERE MY POST STARTS----> I don't think she's been given any extra attention because she suffered a miscarriage quite far into her pregnancy. She got about the same coverage as Amanda Holden and I actually think the press have been respectful to both of them by not being intrusive at a time that must be absolutely horrific to deal with.

I don't know if you have children but miscarriage on any scale is one of the worst things a woman can go through, to go through it when the pregnancy is advanced so far as 6 or 7 months I can't even begin to comprehend. Yes it happens to loads of women but I find it unfair to instigate that Lily has used her own personal situation for her own gain in any way. Nor do I (as I said) believe the press have exposed the situation in anything but a sensitive manner.

Flaunting is the wrong word, I meant flounting soz. And a couple of my mates have had miscarriages as well, I know it's a shitty thing, it was difficult for me to know what to say to them when I heard, I never mention it to them now though, I guess if they ever want to talk about it I would rather them bring the matter up, not me, especially with me being a male.

It's not an easy thing to discuss with anyone, let alone a male, and I can understand why men in particular just don't know how to handle it with friends or loved ones because it's so personal and affects each and every person differently.

As for Lily Allen and the show though, I've only seen one episode so can't make an informed judgement on it as yet. I did notice that despite the others protestations, they've opened in Covent Garden. As for the woman saying Covent Garden would attract the cheaper end of the market - she's off her nut! It will attract people because of the many other things to do there. Their off road location near Oxford Street would have been totally excluding a prospective market. Plus they are not taking into account the amount of major media companies nearby who could get them some good press coverage. That woman really pissed me off!!

Argghh I've gone off on one again!
