nah they are a pain...

the bits of gravel get caught in the car tyre treads & fly out  when you drive..  basically causing shrapnel wounds to anything close by...

the bits of gravel get caught in your shoe treads...   and seem to find there way into the house..  or you have to dig out a big bit of gravel in the shoe tread with a coin...

weeds still get through..

and the gravel disappears over time..  you keep having to top up

(I don't have a gravel drive..    my parents do)

I don't have a gravel drive but I do have areas that have pea shingle mingled with lots of bliddy weeds

Talking of chauffers ........we had an 80th Birthday Party for my mum last night and I invited her rich cousins. They live about an hour and a half away. We spoke on the phone and she said that their gardener sometimes played chauffeur for them and would it be OK if he came and sat in on the party.

Obviously it was OK with us ...........no kidding HE WAS BLOODY GORGEOUS ................we never see this side of the family much but today (with all of my family) it's been a nit nudge, nudge wink wink - Lady Chatterly and all that!
