Are going on tour: Ronnie Wood, his son Jesse James and Glenn 'sex pistols' Matlock will join Ian Macglaglan and Kenny Jones...They'll be doing the old numbers with Hucknall replacing Rod on vocals... is that just bloody wrong?...Dunno....Think I'll still go 'though....My nephew knew the words of this one before 'the wheels on the bus'

Huh? Sounds like a hotch potch of shitness.
Glenn Matlock?
Ronnie Wood's son?
Hucknell?
Older FMs may correct me if I'm wrong, but The Faces were a short and less successful reincarnation of the (much better) Small Faces, and only a moderately successful vehicle for Rod Stewart.
Hucknell is a twat. Surely the essence of the 'The Faces' is Rod Stewart? Although both are shit, both have a distinctive style that are very different. Who wants to hear Rod Stewart songs done in a distinctive Nick Hucknell cod soul stylee?

Mick Hucknall doing a Rod Stewart impression? Could they have gone any further in the opposite direction on the spectrum?

Well quite. It would be akin to Barry White doing Ave Maria.

I like Mick and I like Rod.
Glen Matlock? Well... I love Glenn Tilbrook and Jools Holland, so I'm willing to bet he's fine too.
Not sure how Mick will fare with Rod songs though (can you beat perfection?) Be interesting though imo.
