Actually ....................i was very restrained under the circumstances,

i just have to say - we had such a wonderful party for my mums eightieth - I ewanted to make her feel special - like a princess and I think she did. Such a lovely evening with friends and family gathering from far and near - so lovely.

All too often I've seen people pushing the boat out at funerals ................it's too late then. My mum had a ball - and so did we.

I'm bloody knackered now though!
 Good on you Soozy

We did that for my Grandma's 80th, it was a day to remember, she didnt know whether to laugh or cry at the photo of her we had put on her huge cake. All the family there... so good memories .... that was 2 years ago, and sooo pleased it happened.

Same as ever, Kaffers.  I get up on Sundays and find strange young people loitering about the place.  I'm like a one woman refuge

Have you sussed out the Go-Mo in car toast situ, yet?
Haha.. you really have to stop taking young things home then, Cos...   (better not have my Paolo there...)

No btw.. Go-Mo is still a toast free zone (but I never got the chance to tell you that )

Definitely a laugh and not a cry, Eve.  It's always great to remember the good memories.

My nan (totally losing it by then) came to my wedding and insisted she was going to the Bingo.  If that wasn't daft enough, she'd NEVER been to a bingo hall in her life!
I know in my heart that that's quite poignant but I choose to smile about it 'cos she was bloomin' lovely and she always made me laugh. x

No Paolo here, I'm afraid (you don't think I'd be complaining do you???)

I'm sorry to hear about the toast too - in every single way. xxx

Well that's the thing about food/eating/drinking and gatherings, isn't it?  It brings people together and like Soozy's been saying, a great memorable time is had by all.
I really like the Spanish, Italian and French attitude to meal times - it's like a celebration every time you eat.

Sometimes I think it shows how I've over celebrated though.....

Oh don't I know it  I'm dreading going to tomorrow nights weigh in at Slimming World,

Although ..........................................I did eat a slice of pork pie when preparing>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>during the whole evening I was so concerned that everyone had a good time  all I ate was one tiny sausage roll!

However I lost count of how many glasses of wine I drunk but that really doesn't count does it?

Use your mum's birthday party as an excuse, Soozy.

I'm hoping the non stop dancing may have shed some of the extra calories!
