I had an abscess in my ear once that had spread from a tooth. Never again would I want something like that, it was just relentless and when it's in the ear (or tooth) you can't get away from it cos it's going through your head constantly.

I had a c-section so I can't compare it to giving birth but instead I will say I would rather sit through 100 hours of Michael Ball singing than go through ear problems again.

Sandra - didn't realise you had antibiotics too (cos you only said diclofenac and I was wondering what was wrong with the people at the hospital) - but hopefully the A/B's should kick in shortly. Hope you feel better soon

Hope it gets better soon.I had a bad ear infection,literally flared up in a  matter of hours.The eardrum burst in the night.I was on anti-biotics for two weeks to clear it up.Yea and you're deef in that ear for weeks too.
