i need help with a pc/digi camera problem please..

anyway
i hate asking..but
my digital camera loaded pics fine to my pc
now it doesnt
ive tried everything i know-nothing
the USB/camera connects on the laptop-so no problem with them
when i plug the USB in it makes a 'ding' noise lol
so i know it connects
been on control panel-set it up properly
still nothing
also-when i put a dvd/cd in i used to get a panel come up and ask me what i wanted to play it on
that doesnt happen anymore
also-i go to computer-but the camera option isnt there anymore
i think ive covered everything
so anyone got any other ideas please..?

have you tried putting the SD card straight in to the lappy?

I don't have an answer, but have you tried to see if there is a website for your camera which has help pages?

Try your camera and card in another PC to see if it is the camera/SD card or the PC that is at fault. Carry out diagnosis by replacement. It is unlikely that two things have failed at the same time.
