I hope the Libs now realize that joining with the devil had no other outcome.

Seems like its gonna be a Tory/Labor fight for the next 20 years. Just goes to show- any alliance with the Tories results in being the "whipping boy" and i bet Cameron is laughing his arse off.   Thats if there's owt left of if after his mates have had their fair share of the "Eton Surprise"

Yeah, we've had some momentous occasions, son no.1 is 8 years post kidney transplant and a year in remission from a brain tumour (he's lived a hundred lives poor baby), son no. 2 got a scholarship in to a top public school (at his insistence, we were happy to send him to the comp his brother goes to haha), and my 2 year old twins can out maneuver me with smile and a wink.

What a bummer. My OH has also got a referral to the local hospital for a chest infection.  A cough that seems to linger.

You seem to have had to go through a lot of strife. Glad to see you have come through it all. Good luck to you and your family for the future.

There seems to be a lot of folk with "Chest Infections " at the moment ? I swear we are not being told the truth about what is going on in the world today.

Ah, thank you very much Jonesy. Tis the ebb and flow of life, I suppose. This time last year I was witnessing my son going against all clinical advice and surviving through something no one (who's read the right books, including my brother the medical doctor) thought was possible. He's now just another joy/irritant in my life, just the way it should be (when he was in recovery he begged to be treated normally so he gets told off like before! ).

Glad to hear it. No matter how ill we may think folk are, they still have to have a say in how they want to be treated. Sometimes the medical advice nubs one from what the outcome might be, but perseverance often proves the medics wrong.  Keep up the good work and i hope everything turns out well for you and your family.

You do realise you're shoving them back nearer to us in That London. Like you care though

This local election has shown the great divide between North and South The rich and well off will always vote Tory yet the working man in the North remembers the Thatcher years and never forgets. The Libs were an in-between party for some voters- but they have rallied with the Devil and it shows in this election. They have thrown away years of building public confidence in one foul swoop.

The North/South divide isn't just nationwide. It encompasses London too. I was brought up in affluent NW London and moved South. There a some pockets of wealth here, but great swathes of South London are stuck in relative poverty and criminal chaos. Living in London, or the South-East in general, doesn't mean that Thatcherism din't have a degenerative effect on us too.
