I'm having a super smoooooooooooooth Sunday Supes Velvet, great thread
Only just opened this thread OMG!! the opening song was my Dad's absolute favourite he used to whack it on the record player full pelt on a Sunday morning. Have to admit - that bought a tear to my eye.
Hankies out! A real tear-jerker
my all time favourite.
WOW what a feast!! Thanks a million to all who've posted, so many of them are favourites of mine. Sam Cook, Eva Cassidy, Bobby Darren, Elkie Brooke.......and Squiggle.....Dorothy Moore!
I thought I was the only one who loved her.
I'm lost with all this techie stuff so could I please ask (beg) someone to post another of my faves Frank Sinatra's That's Life? I would be your forum slave for ever.

Here you go
Lee and Soozy, thank you loads. Its a wonder you didn't hear my tonsils rattling where you are.
Sang my little heart out lol.
From now on I'll make the tea, bake the cakes (tho you wouldn't want to eat them), always keep the forum tidy and the cushions plumped up. Thanks again both

I had all her albums at one time, such sincerity in her songs and I Believe You is one of my favourites, it sums up the trust you have in your guy I thought I was the only one who loved her.
If you want to join in with the posting of the clips its really easy. I only found out recently through El Loro. Go to UTube, find the clip you want, click on the 'share' button make sure its highlighted and then press Control and 'C'. Come back to the thread and click on the button that looks like a little film strip and then just press Control and 'V' and 'insert'. It will not show the clip right away it will just look like a yellow box but when you 'submit reply' it will be there.
Matt Monro - pretty smooth

Matt Monro did have a lovely voice.
I'm not a fan of Celine Dion, but I am a fan of this song. For my beloved, we may be apart (for now) but I am being strong because you loved me

Thank you again Sqiggle for that info. I will give it a try later...don't laugh if you see blanks come up. Have you heard Dorothy Moore sing Misty Blue? It's a must!
WOOHOO!! Another big thanks to Squiggle.

Well done I was so pleased when I found out how to do it, I am glad you can now too. I loved Misty Blue, I think that was probably the song that introduced me to Dorothy Moore.Add Reply
