I'm not saying it's the greatest but given the past crap we've been subjected to...

We wouldnt win if it was the Beatles MrMincePie. Too many eastern block countries voting for their neighbours. the only ones who vote for us are France and Ireland......

Exactly Sparkles! and even the French are a bit wary at times
I've heard this year's entry, We're not going to win!

Whaaaaat?
When I heard it the other day I thought it was unmemorable.
The voices were thin and uninteresting.
Too many flashing lights right in my face (as seems obligatory these days in musical programmes.)
Very sparse and meagre choreography.
Worst of all - I couldn't see their faces because they have huge microphones in front of them.
Why do so many people hold mikes these days? Fashion? Reassurance.
In this technological age they don't need visible microphones
There was a time when we could see people's faces; mikes were discreetly placed.
Things should have got better not worse.

I think the problem is partly that people don't understand that you don't have to speak directly into a mike and from only a few inches away. Also, if you're not playing an instrument or are doing fancy choreography, then it gives your hands something to do. The voices were thin and uninteresting.

OMG Scotty, I take it back, they have no chance.
My ears hurt now.

I love the jedward song They give it such gusto when they're performing it, they really sucked me in
apparently they're changing the voting this year. A certain percentage is based on televoting and the rest will be based on the reintroduction of a jury system.

Admittedly I only lasted 27 seconds (well, Waking the Dead is on and I don't want to miss any), but I can see that Jedward song doing well at Eurovision

Ireland can't afford to win - they don't have the money to stage the show if they do

Ohhhhh - wouldn't like to be you when Temps and Lee get hold of you
I love Eurovision but ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,can't get excited until a week or two (at the most) before,
This was the best one

Blue representing us at Eurovision? They must have a death wish. Most bands re-tour to get back into the spotlight - they may never work again As for Jedward, they are ready made for Eurovision as most of the acts are "over the top, cant sing or dance" but thats what gets votes .
