No pics,he's a mini lop eared rabbit.A white tortieshell ,that is splotches of brown, beige, black on a white coat. He's eating well and pooping well too.
Good stuff katty
Well Rio is doing fine but we had to get Cleo put to sleep this morning, she took a really bad gut stasis,I had her at the vet yesterday anf he gave her gut stimulant injections etc,but they just didn't work. She was obviously in a bad way this morning and was suffering,it was kinder to let her go..wah! What a shit weekend.
I don't post here much but have been following your bun's progress, Katty. Am so sorry about your dear Cleo.
Ohhhh no, poor Cleo.
(((hug))) Katty
Big hugs katty
Aww thanks, sigh. She was fine on Friday morning, eat her grub and was running around with Rio.I notice when a stasis comes on,they lie quiet and stretched out.She started on Friday late afternoon, got her to eat a little but no pooping.I got her to the vet on Sat morning, triple injections, pain killer, gut stimulant and an anti-biotic.Alas they didn't work,so I had to take her to the emergency PDSA vet today. She was collapsed this morning,so my niece collected me we took her along. The vet said she was extremely bloated and in pain.Kindest to let her go.It can be fatal gut stasis, but it can be treated it's just down to luck. She's had it before sadly it was too severe this time.
So very sorry katty
Katty, that sounds horrible.
Luckily, she had such an attentive and knowledgable bunny-owner as you, who saw she was in trouble and did the best thing for her, without letting her suffer.
Aww, Katty I'm so sorry. You did the kindest thing by putting her to sleep - her suffering is over now.

awww katty - so sorry to read this - lots of - really sad
Katty so, so, sorry to hear you've lost Cleo
As has been said before. you did the kindest thing and she's had a wonderful life.
Hope Rio continues to get better too. x
Well I had a good howl this morning clearing away her cage and stuff(Rio has a seperate one)so that's me over the worst now.Rio seems fine as in not that bothered she's no longer here, had a sniff around where her cage was and then jumped into his to eat his grub.We had him for three years on his own before we got Cleo. They were bonded but I think if you get them as siblings or babies at the same time the bond is deeper.
Well Rio is doing well, eating etc normally.Poor little gurl Cleo..
I'm really sad to hear about your poor bun, Katty
Sorry you're having a difficult time katty.
Pleased that Rio is doing well.
aww no, sorry to hear that katty At least she was loved and enjoyed the life you gave to her, and were there to help her in the end. xx
The thing is the bunnies were not my pets, they were my neices .I "inherited " them.My pets are hammies and budgies.Sigh, but you get attachedf to the boogers..
