Well Rio is doing fine but we had to get Cleo put to sleep this morning, she took a really bad gut stasis,I had her at the vet yesterday anf he gave her gut stimulant injections etc,but they just didn't work. She was obviously in a bad way this morning and was suffering,it was kinder to let her go..wah! What a shit weekend.

Aww thanks, sigh. She was fine on Friday morning, eat her grub and was running around with Rio.I notice when a stasis comes on,they lie quiet and stretched out.She started on Friday late afternoon, got her to eat a little but no pooping.I got her to the vet on Sat morning, triple injections, pain killer, gut stimulant and an anti-biotic.Alas they didn't work,so I had to take her to the emergency PDSA vet today. She was collapsed this morning,so my niece collected me we took her along. The vet said she was extremely bloated and in pain.Kindest to let her go.It can be fatal gut stasis, but it can be treated it's just down to luck. She's had it before sadly it was too severe this time.

Well I had a good howl this morning clearing away her cage and stuff(Rio has a seperate one)so that's me over the worst now.Rio seems fine as in not that bothered she's no longer here, had a sniff around where her cage was and then  jumped into his to eat his grub.We had him for three years on his own before we got Cleo. They were bonded but I think if you get them as siblings or babies at the same time the bond is deeper.
