I can't be sure with regards tonight's episodes, but at the beginning of the series the makers promised that they wouldn't go down the "Lost" route, with mysteries not being resolved for a whole series (if at all). Rather, the idea is for most current plot-lines to be resolved after a few weeks and replaced by new ones. Can't guarantee that will always happen in practise, though.

If you're interested in the show, the best advice would be to suck-it and see...

"The Event" of the title ocurred in (I think) 1944. From memory, I don't think it's ever been shown in a "complete" form. It has however been frequently referred-to in flashback. There are a lot of flashbacks in "The Event"...

Cos I'm thinking of Flashforward and how if you missed the actual flashforward in the first ep then there wasn't much point in watching it.
It is had to say definitely. Something happened early on that may have been it, but something else is starting to happen that equally be 'IT'. Then again, IT may have happened at a time before the current events.

It is. I'm about to start Lost from the begining again too.

I think I'm completely sold on the whole Lost thing by now. Like Crunchy I watch things more than once that I really like. I've seen the Hellraiser films more times than is probably healthy
