I dont trust fish with teeth

It's the garra ruffa thingy isn't it? (If that's the right spelling). Know loads who have had it done (and have loved it) and I'm planning to give it a go soon. I'm just worried that I might not like it and do a knee jerk and send the fishies flying all over the salon and one will end up in someone's tea or summat. (That'll be just my luck)

Oh yes I saw this in Glasgow over the last month or so ago. in a shopping mall or two.. It's the little fish that nibble(eat)  skin etc.However ,we now have health  and  safety  involved.It's bad for us and the little fish...I 'll bet no one asked them!

It's cross contamintion that they are not sure about etc.Your feet etc maybe treated,but then  another person puts their feet into the same pool 20-30 mins later..

I was actually wondering about this....whether they changed the water after each treatment. I was presuming they did? But if they don't then I ain't putting my flippers in water that's got manky bits of someone else's feet in

You wouldn't do it at home, and that's with your own family! Ooooh no. I will have to really check this out and the FIRST question I will ask is about water change!

I would be cautious, not only about whether they change the water but also, would you be happy to go to a chiropodist who didn't clean his tools all day long but used the same ones on patient after patient?  Well that's what the fish are doing with their teeth

Im going to sound like a lunatic now but when i was about 20 i remember going to a beach type area in Leeds (YES in Leeds) dont ask me where it was, i went on the back of someone's motorbike, but sucha place does exist. I remember the water there had little fish that nibbled your feet, i wonder if it was the same sort of thing. Very cute it was, i liked it

I wouldn't have it done but that's from an animal rights point of view as I'm quite sure that the fish aren't treated very well or in a natural way.
But I wouldn't be squeamish about them nibbling my feet. Several of my sons tropical fish will have a gentle nibble if you put your hand in the tank and a couple of them will eat food from your hand
