Please don't let this be true. I can never watch X Factor again if this story is true... it was bad enough hearing the rumour that Katie Price was going to be on it, but Lily effing Allen!

Oh well Mr Mince, each to their own. I just can't bear her TBH. And I was glad when she said she was 'retiring' from her 'pop star' career. I thought that meant I wouldn't have to see her little mush on my telebox again.

So far, it has been reported that Gary Barlow, Robbie Williams, Nicole Scherzinger (sp), Naomi Campbell, Katie Price and Lily Allen are all in the frame for the role of judge - I bet none of them get the job.

Blimey! We cancel each other out. I'm in the opposite camp! I think that she does quality stuff, but am at a loss as to why people would need a knowledge of music to judge the X Factor. One needs to be able to follow a script and do a bit of faux emotion. That sort of thing.

Lily Allen pretended to be a cockney character and even sang with a fake accent........she should fit right in with the plastic acts on X Factor!

I'm not going to be tuning in to this show again, it has nothing to do with music anymore.

Personally I really wouldn't mind seeing her on X Factor - she writes her own stuff (some of it pretty clever IMO) - she has her feet on the ground. TBH - although I haven't seen much of her personailty I think she's probably a better choice than either Cheryl or Danni (although I do like Danni).

Wasn't Lily Allen discovered via My Space? Although I don't think she's had enough experience to judge who should receive a 1 million pounds recording contract, I don't think she's ridden on her dad's coat tails either.
