Not you Blizzie, I was talkin about the weathery things that whip in off the North Sea and up the river.  It doesn't matter which street you are walking up and how often you change direction they are always in your face.

And here is another thing.  Have you noticed that if you have a big bar of cadburys in the cupboards (just for emergencies or if you should invite some like minded chums over) and you decide to make sure it isn't going off by sampling a few squares,  so you break a row off and it doesn't break in a straight line, it always manages to break through at least one extra square diagonally?

So after eating your sample squares you are forced to break off the triangly bits and eat them as well so it looks nice and neat before you put it into the cupboard again.

Cupcake I know exactly what you mean.  Some bugger with a Euro Interfering Axe to grind has made them take out the juicy flavours and replace them with New Bland Flavour.

Very true Geordie lass, and also I have noticed that the old 'half pound blocks' seem smaller, but the price is extortionate!  Cadburys used to be my fave choc but now it's lost it's sparkle.

I have a lot of friends who are employed (for the minute) by Cadbury's but Kraft have totally destroyed the factory.  A lot of the production has gone to Poland and Kraft are working frantically to advertise their other chocolate product Milka bars which are rank

Everyone here in Birmingham knows it's only a matter of time before the factory plus Cadbury world is closed and those jobs lost.  They've already switched the head office to Zurich to avoid paying corporation tax in this country.

So sad

it was one of the biggest employers in South Birmingham and generations of families have worked there - their skills are in chocolate making a bit like Terry's of York who were also taken over by Kraft so I guess we can take them as the blue print because it doesn't exist except in name and all production was moved to eastern europe and the York factory closed

I personally refuse to eat anything made by Kraft

for me it's the same as HP Sauce which was another Birmingham factory taken over by another American company Heinz, asset stripped and production sent to Holland where they already had a factory - it just doesn't taste the same to me

And without wishing to sound like a disappointed shopaholic but Asda have gone downhill since that bloody Walmart took over.  I can't find anything and the racking looks like something out of a garage. Its like Aldi or Lidl except it has some brands I still recognise.
*wanders off to get 4 squares off the end of my large (but not as large as it used to be) bar of Cadburys before it goes cheesy.*
