Slim, I can't help it, I had politics with my mother's milk so to speak, my dad was a politician and I can't help being addicted, but from the moment the little twerp spoke at a Tory conference at the age of 16 I couldn't stand him and now, unfortunately, he's on the news 24/7 because of Lybia.

I can't stand listening to any Tory.

And don't get me started on the bank of Scotland being just over a billion in losses but still managed to pay out a billion in bonuses to their top guys !! Grrrrrrrr!

...and British Gas making billions of profit, but still don't seem fit to lower their price.

My dad was the equivalent of a tory in Germany (CDU Christian Democratic Union), but he was one of the guys that had to suffer the Hitler regime and try to somehow keep a reign on things without giving up. At heart, he was a Socialist, he got many Jewish people out of the country, he helped my natural family and adopted me, he would give his shirt to anybody who needed it, which I think is the reason that politics still fascinates me and I still have a modicum of faith in some of them.

I have to admit that he's one of the least annoying of the current crop of self satisfied idiots that infest the Tory party.  His accent is annoying, but then so is Ed Miliband's and he's ok.  He's a bit of a geek I suppose and seems to over compensate.  The stuff about 9 pints a day and I do wonder if he's in the closet.  However, I think he's smarter than Cameron and in my opinion, more honest and down to earth.

I reeeeally struggle listening to Cameron. He suddenly appeared on Breakfast a week or so ago and I ran across the room with my fingers in my ears, shouting "la la la la", and turned the TV off before he even got a word out.

No probs, it's not like I'm in the Hague fanclub!  I just think he's got some very tough competition in that party.  Cameron and Redwood are the two which probably wind me up the most, plus the honorary Tory, Clegg.

Clegg I agree on. Redwood I always thought of as a maverick, which is good in my book.  Even though in his case, he's an ass.
Call me Dave is a bit different. I find myself listening to him and having to remind myself that I'm on the opposite side, I know this is down to him trying to be mainstream. I'll be a Socialist till I kick the bucket after all is said and done.

Cameron's a very clever politician and very plausible politician but above all he's a very good communicator.  He knows that the combative Thatcher style approach is electoral poison.  If there is a Tony Blair handbook then he's read it from cover to cover.  I think people underestimate how manipulative and calculating he is.  He's run rings around Clegg since the election.  I think Cameron could teach Peter Mandelson a few tricks.
