Sorry, Jonesy, but I don't agree. All the opposition in any of the countries has seemed to me to be straightforwardly wanting democracy. We're so used to African coups and the like that we can't seem to countenance a real desire of change driven by the people. Even in Lybia, the army has now given out a statement to be on the side of the people. This is new and different to anything that went on in Africa after liberation in the 60s.

Supposed to be. He has lost all credibility. He has 6 sons, who will all be scrabbling for the chance to be the next dictator. I hope the people in Lybia have the courage (despite him) to carry on and get rid.
