You are not wrong there El Lorro
Now that we have side-tracked away from colour remakes, onto older films of which we are fond, I thought I would mention the films on channel 4 this week.
The early afternoon films on chnnel 4 this week:-
Monday - Laura (1944)
Tuesday - Roman Holiday (1953). This has been a topic of discussion in our Ben's Buddies thread. It also is the first of a series of films starring Audrey Hepburn.
Wednesday - Sabrina (1954)
Thursday - Funny Face (1956)
Friday - Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961)
Not a bad sequence of films.

Thankyou very much Brisket. I will now find them on the sky+ and record what is left for the rest of the week.
Unfortunately Channel 4 have now replaced Breakfast at Tiffany's on Friday with horse racing, and my post in Ben's Buddies this morning was made before I knew of the change.
Someone had the idea of remaking Roman Holiday for American television in 1987.Why did they bother
Sabrina is another classic black and white film which was remade in colour with Julia Ormond as Sabrina. It also had Harrison Ford. Passable, but nowhere near as good.
I don't think anyone has mentioned Psycho yet. The remake in colour is considered by many to be a pointless remake as it is almost a scene by scene re-make.
