I've had a few police escorts (but more for the people I was sat in the car with). My last ambulance trip was traumatic....my son had a prolonged seizure at home and he looked like he was drifting away. I threw a few bits in a bag while the paramedics attended to him and walked zombie like to the vehicle with them while my shell shocked hubby sorted things out for our other kids. The ambulance went like the clappers and luckily we're less than a mile from the hopital. When we got whizzed to the crash area in A&E I watched the medics intubate him while I looked at the stuff I'd taken. His PSP, his World Cup programme and his Chelsea slippers. It took 6 long weeks for him to even notice them but we got there in the end. He's amazingly well now almost a year later
An ambulance crashed into my Dad's care and totalled it.
They jumped out, asked if he was ok, when he said yes they said gotta go, jumped back in and sped off to whatever emergency they were en route to. He was fine...when the Police got there they chuckled about it.

I've been in lots of ambulances because my ex husband liked to kicked the carp out of me, lately I've been in a couple of ambulances because I had a chest invection and was on the verge of death.
I have been in a police car (to my shame) in 1988 when I drove under the influence and crashed the car and I have been in a police car and a cell when I was drunk and peed off and sat in the middle of the road with my best mate and she played guitar and we were singing folk songs. A taxi stopped and said to me, you are Jimmy's friend, aren't you, I said yes and he gave me a pair of glasses that Jimmy left on the taxi the day before. I ended up in the police cell again.
