Sky have reported £520 million profit.... thats a record for them.

Its likely subscribers will be paying more in the future as Sky have to fork out billions of pounds to get the rights to televise live premier league football. Every year it seems to be going up... and the only way for Sky to ensure they don't make a loss is raise the prices of sky subscriptions.

Well I'm getting rid of it.My niece has moved in with her fiance to their own place,she paid for it.I'm not so it will be cancelled.I'll only really miss some of the crime Dramas on "Living" and "Universal".We didn't have the full package anyway.Frankly it's not worth it,back to Freeview for me.

Alas! I'm a big football fan, and it seems an awful lot to pay. That's why I normally say at this juncture maybe the licence fee should go up a tenner a year and get the footie onto BBC. I don't know the Maths really. But apart from the occasional fillum there's nothing on Sky to justify all those channels and cost.

We have sky, but not the sports or movies, and we love it. If they knocked the prices down though I wouldn't object

Had sky when i was a kid at home and could never find anything to watch then apart from reruns of top gun

So have never ever felt the desire to have it. freeview is the only extra channels i have and even then usually only watch the normal channel plus one's.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!......I loathe football with an absolute passion there's not a darn chance I'd be prepared to pay more for my TV licence in order for football to be shown.

Our PM "Call me Dave" is very close to Rupert Murdoch though... and seeing as Murdoch seems to fund the conservatives, they very much have to bow down to him and do as he says.

It's a vicious circle. Sky have to pay more and more for the licence because the PL have to charge more and more because the greedy as hell money obsessed footballers want more and more because their even greedier agents want more and more and they are the ones who are making all this happen.
