I just got a survey in the post from the company that provides and delivers my Arenesp injections. It's all about the service they provide and am I happy with that service. I don't have a problem with their service, it's been fine.
However, several weeks ago, I got a letter from my consultant stating that it has become too much of a burden for their nursing staff to try and keep up with all the arenesp prescriptions and making sure they are deliverd on time and all. That's fair - I've always thought nurses were overworked and underpaid. So, now I will have to pick up the Arenesp injections at the hospital pharmacy. Again, that's fine as I would get the prescription from my consultant at my hospital appointment. I generally get a 4 month supply for a monthly injection and my husband gives me the injection. I see my consultant every 2 months, so I would't run out.
So, now I'm wondering why I'm getting a survey to fill in and post back. Keeping in mind that the medicine has to be driven from 40 miles away, the new system seems more cost effective and eliminates having another car on the road.
