Its all very well saying Corrie fans should vote then, but everyone I know DID vote for them.  And nobody can fathom why shitenders keeps winning the best soap award.  It's got to be fixed.  If people wanted Corrie to win, they're quite entitled to be pissed that EE has won the award AGAIN  Especially when it's crap.

T^he writing was on the wall with Stacey and Fat Boy(?) winning awards. I guess EE fans are more likely to spend money voting ........................it don't make it the best in my eyes - it's pretty dire TBH - I really don't know why I still watch. it's a bad habit that I really must kick!

That's what I said Soozy   EE fans simply must vote more than Corrie fans.... but as I said, I think it may be that EE fans are from a younger audience, and vote much more on the net.  I bet if it was a phone vote and not available to vote over the net,  Corrie would have walked it.  Rexi, maybe you're right   But I really really believe that Corrie is loved by more people than EE, so this is not reflective of the public's general opinion IMO (when it comes to these two soaps.)  Glad Loose bloody women never won though.

I'm sure the Corrie cast will want to rub it in to EastEnders when they next win an award, people like Kym Marsh and Antony Cotton can't resist a dig.. Katherine Kelly at least is gracious when she and Corrie don't win awards but disappointed naturally.

You can vote once with one E-Mail account,most folk I know have several. Just change your name,that's all and vote again with another..

I disagree 100% Darloboy.  Katty is absolutely correct.  It's very easy to vote multiple times, by simply using different email addresses.  So people can vote as many times as they want.  I bet EE fans voted many times to try and make sure it wins, as they know Corrie is superior in every way. 

Jessie Wallace is a shit actress as are a lot of them in EE..how can they compare to the wonderful Dev...

Would people go to that much trouble though? I reckon it's the younger population who have voted who are probably on the net a lot more (whereas Corrie appeals to the older generation). Someone said the same thing a couple of pages back.

Maybe some EastEnders fans do that but you wouldn't be complaining if Corrie fans do that, more so if they have such a dislike for EE?

Cheer up, I think Corrie is going to sweep the awards next year with EE having such a disastrous year so far.

Actually I said that a few posts back Karma,    I think that could be the reason.  Many EE fans are quite young.  Corrie has a more mature audience.  Less likely to be on the internet a lot.

I voted for Stenders, on the interweb.

I only watch Eastenders, so I'm pleased with the results.

Week after week, Eastenders has the highest rating of all the soaps, so it makes sense that more people would be voting for the soap they actually watch, doesn't it?

i don't like ee, its storylines are too "fast"  - compare phils addiction to the girl in emmerdale, the one in emmerdale was more believable and convincing,  ee don't seem to act, just shout or cry.  i was disappointed with some of the winners but glad to see waterloo road win and loose women lose!

I can't believe EE won.  Just goes to show all those people complaining about the recent storyline were just jumping on the bandwagon and talking out of their ar$es
