I've always found it very difficult to the believe that the editor of the NOTW did not know the origin of so many exclusives published in the paper.  Surely he asked questions as to the origin and the reliability of the stories.

Very interesting erinp.  It is stuff like that which makes me dubious about Andy Coulsons repeated claims that he knew nothing about the phone hacking.  As editor wouldn't he be curious where all these amazing paper selling exclusives were coming from?

Interesting the lack of coverage of Coulson's departure.

Peirs Morgan was allegedly caught announcing to his team that Paul McCartney had sung "And I love her" after a row between Paul and Heather.   Peirs said "It's the message he sang to Heather to make it up - you should hear the tape"

I wonder how we'd feel if they actually (illegally) taped someone of real importance conspiring in something properly drastic like a war crime or summat as opposed to the celeb dross it seemed to be.  Would the ends justify the means then?

I have never been convinced of Andy Coulsons innocence in this.

I remain continually amazed at how Moron has stayed out of jail for so long. How he managed to come out of the Mirror's "fill your boots" shares scandal relatively unscathed is beyond me...

He dodged that bullet because the CPS could not find enough evidence against him.  But they found enough for his two associates.

I've been surprised by this too, He lives almost directly opposite me, and there have been loads of reporters and photographers camped outside on and off for the last couple of weeks, but there hasn't been nearly as much coverage as I would have expected.
