Supposedly, this is the most miserable grim and depressing day of the year, because it's so long to spring and summer, and the post Christmas blues have kicked in, it's ages til the next holiday, and people are skint after Christmas.  Does anyone feel like poo today?  because I actually feel pretty OK   the sun is out, my bank balance is in the black (just,) because we cut right back at Christmas, and I don't feel terrible.  Anyone feeling blue?

Awww thats great   Glad youre both feeling fab.  Maybe the time of year is nothing to do with anything.  I mean, I feel pretty OK right now, (even though its 'black monday') but last year, I felt low a lot in June and July.  So its more about whats going on in your life i think, rather than what day or month of the year it is.

I usually feel sad at the end of new year, I hate taking down the decorations and feel all down. This year is the first year in as long as i can remember that I don't feel that. I haven't got that Jan slump i could still carry on in full xmas-like happy mode for ages

And then its birthday, valentines, anniversary, so there's stuff to look forward to. This year is unusual so im not feeling the black Monday.

Well today I have applied for housing and council tax benefit...It pisses me off big time.I worked from I was 17 'till 47 ..left my job due to medical reasons etc,| had shared tenancy with my brother until he died at the age of 52 four years ago.My niece(brothers girl) has now left home and moved into private housing with her fiance.I was interviewed today  by a girl about 22 years old....my lip was curling...not at her, just the system.I had all;  the paperwork I will be dully informed.

Now in front of me was a young Polish girl filling in the same housing benefit forms etc...however they offered her an interpreter if she was in difficulty etc...now something isn;t right..
