Am thinking of changing my degree path to Psychology and Criminology after touching on this subject on my Social Sciences course.

I'm doing an intro course right now 
Even though it revolves around the American justice system, the textbook at least gave me some really astonishing information 
My sons girlfriend is doing that (well she's done a couple of years but is having a year out at the minute)
Karma, I'm sure Chicken Chow Mein is studying Criminology and Psychology, but I don't know if he is around at the moment.

Thanks all! I'm on first year Psychology and loving it, have sorted out my study plan and already reserved for the next 2 courses, but now I'm wondering whether to divert a little and now's the time to do it.

I'm doing home study but can't get to the bi-weekly tutorials. My tutor's fab though and I've made a lot of friends on the course which is grand 
T'other half was considering specialising in it. Then he realised it was less about crime detection and more about the criminal justice system and he went off the idea.

I thought it would be more down the detection, pre meditated and psychological route. I'm not overly keen on the justice system, the CPS raise my eyebrows on quite a few occasions given some of the cases they don't feel are worthy of prosecution, so on that basis not sure if its right for me.
Well I'm sure it'll depend on the course, but you should look closely at the modules and course description.
I dunno what you mean about crime detection, but isn't that more forensics?
A friend of mine wants to go into the police and is doing a degree in criminology... told my old man this and he said it was one of the most pointless courses anyone could take.

Even most forensics courses are centred around the criminal justice system. We looked at a load of them before the OH started his Masters'.
I've brought up four kids, if that counts.
