Definitely, one of the best autobiographies I have read.

I had two autobiographys sent to me at christmas.... Michael Mcintyre & Alan Sugar.

Alan Sugars was brilliant I thought... helped me come to a conclusion that Terry Venables is a tosspot. Mcintyres was sh*te, bit of a snooze fest, was handed it all on a plate because his parents were wealthy.

What is she famous for? 

Being Kylie`s sister or her fab singing?  

Danni was famous before Kylie and has had a lot of hit on the club scene. She was in H&A and performed on a Australian show called 'young talent time' for about ten years (its similar to the mickey mouse club)

That's a bit of a generalisation about MM if I may say so. His Dad started wealthy.. ish and M went to a public school. However he ended up in a very ordinary lifestyle in a riches to rags scenario. If his parents handed him anything on a plate it would be stacks of material. I don't think that I would ever buy another comedian's book though. That Russell Brand one put me off for life.
 I'm just about to start Keef's book and then Sugar's

I read it in bed and an hour later I'm still reading. Working in a similar field it's rare to see a boss who is A) loyal and true to his word and B) so involved in his own company, making sure he knows and gets to know everyone involved in it.

I'm only halfway through (at the bit where he's just floated Amstrad on the Stock Market) so don't gimme any spoilers please!

I remember him saying that at one stage he couldn't even pay his rent and literally didn't know where the next penny was coming from. I've always thought that (most) people who acquire wealth through hard work having come from financial hardship always appreciate it more and make their money work for them so they are financially secure. Most who are born into it have absolutely no idea what it's like to be on the other side of the fence. (I blame the parents). The likes of Cameron spring to mind.

The main problem with Mcintyres book is that it was one big joke book... I never read any comedians book before so I didn't know what to expect, everything in there that he wrote was to make the reader laugh, it spoilt the book really. To make the reader laugh he would exaggerate.

ooooh  I was there working at the bank when he did that.. we had loads of work to do for it..  was also working there when was still only a trading company and was just plain Alan.. no Sir's or Lords back then. . I used to do all his import papers and foreign exchange for him too.. :myclaimtofamesmiley:  that was back in the days when banks did everything at your home branch, not some anonymous office gawd knows where, and everybody knew their customers well too..  .. those were the days..

I agree, things have definitely taken a turn for the better for her over the last few yrs .... she seems really happy now .... good for her

Keef's book initially looks very interesting (if you were there) and good value for money compared to a lot of biogs n autobiogs I've read.

I like Danni she has probably done more than Kylie in doing differerent things acting etc Kylie is known world wide because of her singing career, there is no way she is only famous off the back of Kylie just not as well known for all she has achieved in her life, she has been in showbiz since she was a child she was good in Home and Away she is a good actress I am going to buy her biography it should make a good read...

Frank Skinners was the funniest autobiography that I've ever read - my ribs hurt with laughing.
