The amount of information the Government have on us already is pretty scary, your NI number gives so much information, moreso when you have kids and you even now have to give it on a prescription (in Scotland anyway)  If you buy online with a credit card thats traceable, a store clubcard holds the stuff you buy. Having a mobile lets people know where you are, your IP address, gives information....the list is endless ...
