Kenneth Tong
As a jet-setting Playboy, Kenneth drips with confidence and loves nothing more than splashing his cash in expensive restaurants, designer shops and trendy celeb hang-outs across the globe. He describes himself as self-employed, "someone who manages his own wealth".

Kenneth divides his time between a multi-million dollar flat in the US, his mum's country home and five-star hotels. He says that his ideal woman would be 6ft, blonde with blue eyes and a model. He is currently dating housemate Karly and describes their relationship as strong.

Kenneth wanted to be a policeman as a child but decided to be a (self-titled) "international play boy" instead. Kenneth confesses to being very messy and is very good at persuading others to do things for him. Kenneth's motto is: "If it doesn't make money then it doesn't make sense." On entering the Big Brother house, he said: "I eschewed fame all of my life... now is my time to grab it."

Kenneth, in a rather crass Big Brother Storylining, lept over the fence aided by Marcus on Day 50 and disappeared over the horizon with his head firmly stuck in his small intestine.

Former Big Brother contestant Kenneth Tong has admitted that his comments on Twitter about "managed anorexia" were a hoax.

The self-described 'international playboy' trolled for attention online by penning wilfully controversial statements suggesting that all women should be "size zero".

Tong today said: "I think it is time for to come clean. The whole size zero thing is a hoax. It came about after an interesting discussion I had with a friend of mine.

"The discussion centred round whether it was possible to go from nowhere to be a globally recognised figure within a week, harnessing the power of the internet and specifically Twitter, which I have always maintained is a better medium than national TV.

"My friend said it wasn't possible. I said it was. To prove him wrong, I decided as a hoax to promote via Twitter something that was universally appalling - I chose managed anorexia. I would like to make it clear: I chose the subject as a hoax as I knew it'd be appalling to men and women."

He added: "The campaign has worked; I have been a Trending topic on Twitter for over a week. I am scheduled to appear on TV, [in] the press and radio shows over the course of the next week: Grazia, Telegraph, The Sun, The Sunday Times etc. Now it's time to come clean and stop the bandwagon.

"My honest personal opinion on managed anorexia is it is an disgusting and illogical idea. It is a mental illness. It cannot be managed. To all the people I have offended as part of this scientific experiment, I would like to apologise to you and, to show my sincerity, I will making a sizable donation to beat: the leading UK charity for people with eating disorders and their families.

"Furthermore, I have decided to auction my custom Apple iPod Nano watch on eBay - the proceeds from this will be going to the charity, beat."

"Scientific experiment"? Oh, please...
There's absolutely nothing "scientific" about it. That's assuming he's telling the truth here, which I seriously doubt. I think Karma's got it right - he's been forced into a damage-limitation execise. Judging by some of the replies he's been getting, it looks like a number of tweeters have  been calling for him to be closed down.

Of all the BB HMs over the years, I've had issues with quite a few, but I think I can honestly say that Kenneth Tong is the only one I've ever truly despised, both during and after the show. A really nasty piece of work...

I let this slide yesterday, but anyone who takes Mr Tong's promises at face value may care to be reminded of the following:

Before he entered the BB house, Ken was accused of ripping off a Charity Ball...

Also, it now looks as if Ken's comments re managed anorexia being a "disgusting and ilogical idea" are a direct quote of comments made by Johann Hari while interviewing him just an hour previously - more about this in a mo...

Johann Hari's Evening Standard article re his interview with Kenneth just prior to Mr Tong's "apology" can now be found here:

It makes a long and depressing read, but I do think Hari has completely nailed Ken. As promised, Ken comes out with some truly staggering  statements. If there was any doubt that Ken's "apology" was nothing more than a damage-limitation exercise, it's surely gone now.
The real reason for his backpedalling is almost certainly the following exchange:

Have you heard of the Advertising Standards Authority, Kenneth? He shakes his head. When you start to sell your pill, they will test your claims – and if it doesn’t work, you will be prosecuted. When the parents of 14 year old girls start coming forward explaining that their child died after following your Tweets and taking your pills, you will be prosecuted. How will you feel when you get the first call about the first dead girl? He smiles. “Corporate homicide is impossible to prove anyways,” he shrugs. But he looks nervous now.
