Read about this earlier, most major London train stations have armed police and sniffer dogs around during rush hour anyway. Moany gits they are too.

London scares the bejesus out of me.
Anytime I go ,its straight to the Hotel ,then the Feis/show ,then Home.
I have gone shopping ,Oxford St I think , but there were to many people,bliddy hundreds of them.Not pleasant.

It's not that bad tbh. Rush hour's a pain in the arse if you have to go through Waterloo or Euston (or similar). There's areas you avoid if possible (like everywhere), but it's still a good night out/weekend for a visit.

I travelled back through europe in October. There was a bit of an alert going on and sniffer dogs and armed police were all over The Fatherland, Belgium, n France. Actually it was quite reassuring.

Yep, it's about time for the ususal silly season for so called "terror threats",  our police and govenment just love to keep us on our toes and in fear....these things always fizzles out with no problems.

The US has false flags and so does the UK, it takes the focus away from other stories. I'm curious as to why they think an attack is imminent in London and not elsewhere in the uk. If their intelligence has led them to believe that then surely they'd know who would carry it out and arrest them beforehand.

Don't know if it's as simple as that, YR. I know there were a spate of arrests recently in connection with terrorism and apparently, a lot more goes on than we know and a lot of realistic threats get discovered before any terrorist activity comes to fruition. Seems that whatever's gone on at MI6 it's been deemed serious enough to make the public aware, and I suppose their viewpoint could be that the more eyes and ears they have on alert the better?

Karma I think the UK's Intelligence Services are extremely good - from what we know or have been told through the media when people have been arrested before another dreadful account can take place. It's just my curiosity as to what may be presently known by them about an assumed attack in London, if they know that I'd like to hope they know more and could stop it if it's true.
