Yo Bazzer. I think that on the day we were coming home *our* home town average temperature was minus 15

However to put a positive slant on it, we were planning to recarpet and decorate in the new year........

AND WE WERE INSURED!!!!!!!!!........Thank gawd

The only downside is that we had no carpets on the floor over Christmas, they had to be ripped up cos they were starting to stink!!!!!!.....

Oooo Lainey that was a horrible pressie for when you got home

at least your were insured and it can all be put right

Well, Pengy........funny you should mention presents........they were ruined cos they were wrapped up on the floor in the corner of the dining room..ready to go under the tree we were eager to get home and put up

will insurance cover them?   I hope so

Im not sure Pengy.....I think so......To be honest we are still realising the enormity of the damage. Our new kitchen tiles might have to be wripped up.....there may be 'spores'??!! growing under them that may start moving them in 6 months time...according to the insurance lady.

you're gonna have to keep badgering them on this - spores can be breathed in and the kitchen is where you make food so it's unhygienic and potentially cause lung problems.

hope it gets sorted soon
