I HATE New Years Eve..,,
Ugh, me too.... I shall probably be ignoring its presence as usual. Though I have been invited to Ministry of Sound Lights out, 'cept for the tree....G & T and Jools Holland as has become my norm in recent years.
I'm with Croc - I hate NYE too. And this year, since I've been all Crimboed out after mass over-exposure to family, I'm getting my own way and staying in with a few whiskies and a good book. And no telly!

Saz! Go to Ministry!! It's not far from you and is fanbloodytastic. The sound system in there will rock your bones missus (if you're into that kind of thing of course).
One of my friends is hosting this:
Opal Lounge in Kensington NYE......... 10pm - 6am, 2 Floors, Maze of Caves, Snowdonia Kingdom, Mirrored Ceilings, Free Drinks Reception, Live surprise at midnight!! (ÂĢ35 ticket)
There's also the usual Movida, Funky Buddha, Blag Club....
There's LOADS of stuff going on in Londinium, prices vary. But why not head down to Embankment to see the fireworks? Don't bother with Trafalgar cos it's chaos and the tourists will do your swede in.

oh yeah, I keep forgetting that!
My New Year's Eve tip for a London resident:
Don't hit anyone. Especially not a tourist. If they annoy you, just direct them the wrong way instead.
I thank you.

Can't think of anything much worse than being out and about and pushed and shoved amidst hoards of N Year's Eve drunken revellers, (must be my age, used to love it !!!) Soooo, I'm deliberating between invites to a dinner party locally and a cottage on Keilder Water or staying home with some nice food and a bottle of bubbles...think it's about time I started making my mind up!
