Sometimes I look back to my youth and remember the good old days of our scouser working class family. Me mam used to work the twighlight shift (think that was 6-10pm) which meant me dad had to cook tea.
There would be one big bowl, 5 forks (i got 4 sisters) and a big pile of piping hot, home made............pork scratchings. Slurp!!!! We used to bite into em and the scolding hot fat dribbled down our chins.
I think it cost me Dad a quid to feed the 5 of us all week
Today that might have been called child abuse.......but we loved it
