He finished work about 7.30 - tried to get home but a lot of the roads were impassable. He was gonna head back to the shop and sleep in the flat above - I was relieved! He's just rung and said he found a road that was OK and is heading home - however - he is now in grid lock about 40 mins (drive) away!!!!!

The really ironic thing is - only last night I thought I should put a sleeping bag/quilt and provisions in the car ..............then it went right out of my head.

I'm a little bit worried TBH - although I know he's a tough old boot and made of stern stuff!

Try not to worry Soozy, the police and AA/RAC won't leave them stranded all night

I'm in NE Lincs (near Grimsby/Cleethorpes) from what he says I think he's too far to walk (he's not really kitted out for it anyway although I'm sure he'd give it a go) - not really any hotels on the way either (I don't think) he's told me where he is but I only know it vaguely.

It'd make bugger all difference TBH.........................he has a car charger but - where is it???????? TBF - he is in the van not the car but in all honesty it's a miracle he's got his bloody phone on him!

I just spoke to him - the traffic has cleared but it's slowly, slowly ................hopefully not too long now!
