Voted for previous colour.

The previous cornsilk colour was fine by me.

There should at least be an option to apply your own skin.

I was wondering if this is age-related or sight-related? Are are the ones having problems past the first flush of youth?

And if so, I wonder if whoever designed it is some sprog (that's anyone under 35 these days) with 20-20 vision who hasn't studied accessibility?

I am middle-aged and my eyesight ain't what it used to be!! I find the current colours hurt.

Then, if you switch to a website where they have a different scheme eg Google, there is a period of adjustment.

Sorry, I can't quote at the momen.  Baby Bunny, my eyesight isn't bad; I wear glasses for distance - I'm never sure if that means I'm near sighted or long sighted

I remember when the old forum was changed to bright yellow briefly, and I found that difficult.  Any concentration of bright yellow makes me throw up within a few minutes for some reason

On colours - I have had to gen up on accessibility  - it's part of my job.

Any colour schemes that are too contrasting eg blue text on yellow background () are a no-no.

Go to any site trying to flog you summat - sites where they don't want to put people off visiting their site - and you will find colour schemes that don't cause problems for the majority eg dark text, white background - at least in the main reading pane.

In my experience, peeps who use other colour schemes are new to creating websites and get carried away with all the colour options available to them. After a while, they realise the error of their ways!!

I see from elsewhere that Seattle are trying out different backgrounds on a daily basis over the next week. At the end, they will do a poll to see which is the most popular. Somehow I on't think this one will do too well. By the way this theme is called Dark Dots. If you go to the Livecloud site, then from Your Site, select Control Panel. Then from the resulting menu on the left, select Themes. You get a choice of 14 themes which you can select for your personal site (won't have any effect over in this forum). But you can try them out to see what they look like.
