I'm not that impressed by a quote function that won't capture the ID of the FM i'm quoting.
It's never done that on here, I try to type the person's name in next to 'Reference' if I can remember

The old C4 site did, though, or am I false-remembering? 
As for "old" Gaga : no it didn't, but you could previously copy the FM's details as well as their text, and and that made things a lot easier...

Yeah it did.
Another problem, you can't quote from different pages like before. (When you used to be able to quote and press cancel, go to the next page and quote someone else and it would all be in the same post).
Dunno about the same page though.
Ah well, at least it's better than nothing!

As I implied previously, it looks like I spoke too soon. Although it works in a slightly different way, I can now quote much as I did before (though not currently on IE...)
I have highlighted, clicked on the inverted commas - but nothing happens.
El Loro told us the other day (in the slight confusion of new Christmassy names) that if you hovered over the FMs name the original proper name would appear at the bottom left just above the start button.
But now we don't get the name we get a number.
Somebody has pointed out we don't get the name of the Original Poster on the front page.
You can get it by hovering over the avatar.

Yeah, I found that out. I'm wondering what this place has got against IE, as in previous moves things didn't work in IE either

That, along with the loss of post counts, means if you can still change your username willy nilly it's an open invite to cause trouble cos no-one will know who anyone is (unless they make notes of people's user ID numbers
