Even Glasgow students came out in sympathy, despite the fact they have no fees to pay in the first place. Surely that wouldn't have been organised by some yobs who have no clue about the educational system.
But most of the English students on the demonstration won't be affected by the increase in fees either.  I know there were some school students present, but the majority of the protesters there appeared to be 17+ and they will still be paying the current tuition fees.  The higher rates won't be introduced until September 2012.

Darlo, it will suit the powers that be to categorise most yp as hoodie wearing braindead yobs......I know i'm a 'fossil' but it really does p me off
I don't think it has anything to do with the powers that be wanting to categorise them as "hoodie wearing braindead yobs".  They are doing a perfectly good job of doing that themselves having watched some of them on tv.  I feel sorry for the ones who went there to demonstrate peacefully, having to get caught up with this bunch of rent-a-mob idiots.
