You into Billy Vera, HB..?  I've got one of his albums:  A Retrospective (What Did You Think is incuded on it).  Great songwriter - Lou Rawls & George Benson think so too.

Not particularly really but do love this track - Actually prefer it when Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes sang it but couldn't find that version on youtube.

I must be dead inside... I don't get the whole love song thing, to me, most of them are corny
