far too early for scrooges like me

At the end of August i went to my local pound shop and asked if they had gloves, my son is at college doing a construction course, a few days they are on a site, and it was cold, he wanted them for under the huge rubber things. The man said "gloves in August! A bit early love! "  On the far wall was a row of Christmas cards and paper... I said "not too early for that then !" Says it all really !

Pengy, I had the telly on yesterday and was scrolling through the channels and the amount of xmas stuff that's on is unbelievable.............even the music channels

I have seen the first Xmas decorations in a house in town

Yeah, I got a lift home from work the other night Issy and saw my first xmas tree in a window. I'm firmly of the belief that peeps see trees going up in the shops and think.......oh, it's christmas, I'll put mine up *sighs*

I dont think it has, im dying to start on the xmas food and putting my decs up and xmas shopping but so far have resisted. I will start after the weekend

I think everything Christmas-related should be banned until a week beforehand.  And no decorations should go up until Christmas Eve. 

To be honest Growly, I think that way too, but it's like were 'all caught up' and HAVE to do it   A month before is plenty time IMO

Noooo, I refuse to get caught up in the frenzy.  The only concession I've ever made has been when I've made a Christmas cake, which has to be made a couple of months before.   I get paid on the 18th of the month, so start to think about Christmas shopping after then.
