I do love the summer BUT there are lots of things I love about winter too. For starters, a few things from the last couple of days:
Beef casserole with root vegetables, dumplings and mashed potatoes
Getting all muffled up against the elements and going out for a walk
Snuggling up in bed with the electric blanket on
And, what I'm doing at this very minute: indoors; harbouring from the icicle like rain; by the fire; eating crumpets and drinking hot chocolate

Snuggling on the sofa, curtains closed, candles lit, crimbo film on telly box and my lot with me.

Fairy lights (always look better in winter than summer!)......casseroles.....furry slippers.....my DMs....my big coat with furry collar....the prospect of snow.....fog....frost....seeing your breath in the cold air.....hot chocolate....

Bliss!!!

My adult babygrows! I've got 3, a paw print one, a bumblebee one and a tiger one. (and I want more ) With boot slippers stuck on the end (cos the legs are too long and the feet are too big and I'm a dwarf) - it's a proper winter outfit

I also love:
Being in the house and knowing the loved ones are all tucked up and warm when it's raining outside (even better if it's snowing).
X factor
Dancing On Ice
American Idol
Beef & veg stew
Hot chocolate
Outdoor fairy lights (white or blue only, not multicoloured)
That 'Christmassy' feeling (but when it's right - not in October)
Buying presents - this year my 12 year old's getting a surprise present of a racing day at Mercedes Benz where he gets to drive an A class Merc. I can't WAIT to see the look on his face cos it's always been his dream to drive a real car. (It's a height requirement thing as opposed to age)

I prefer winter to summer - Autumn and Spring are my favourite seasons.

Winter flowers.....someone sent me a gorgeous bouquet yesterday of long stemmed white roses with lots of interesting greenery, including eucalyptus which smells FANTASTIC

White roses are my favourite, I absolutely adore them. That bouquet sounds lovely

And can I have a racing experience day too...please??? (I love Aston Martins!!) xx

Do ya know it's not that badly priced for the kids! ÂĢ75 for an hour, which may seem a lot but
his PS3 games are usually 40 quid a pop and this is something he will treasure and remember so I don't mind spending it. I've always wanted to do the racing day thing like they do on Top Gear, if I get clearance to drive in 2011 it's on my list. Have realised life's too short for the shoulda coulda wouldas

Ha Ha Karms....we really are painting a picture of VaVaVoom between us here aren't we!!!
Pah, Vavashmoom This year it's comfort and warmth over everything else. Too many years I spent freezing my norks off to the point they were turning blue for the art of fashion

You sure are!

I love the dark nights, the dark mornings, and the 'Chrstmassy' feeling that is hard to put into words but.   There's alway a moment, usually a morning, after the clocks change when I just get a 'rush' of imagining the christmas holidays and get the warm glow.     Autumn is my favourite season, but I love winter (if only the roads were always clear!)

www Issy, there must be something? How about: Romantic night in, lighting courtesy of candles and a roaring fire, nice bottle of red, sheepksin rug?  Or...if not....maybe jam roly poly and custard?
I have absolutely thought of something!

Going to bed and snuggling up with my gorgeous OH.
Christmas
the sound of the rain and wind on the window when I know I don't have to go out again.

I like winter till Christmas - then it can go away!
