I hate the "popularisation" of sports which goes on these days. Hate it!
They have been faffing about with snooker.
Now it's arrived at tennis.
At change overs we have a light show accompanied by loud, non-descript music.  Please!
During play the crowd are put in the dark with only the court lit.
But why has everything to be infused with light displays and awful music these days?

...and oh dear all that fisting Murray does....

The players enter to raucous music with a little child (known as a mascot I believe) on their hand.
When a challenge is requested and is shown on the big screen, it is now accompanied by thudding sounds which, I presume, are intended to sound like heartbeats.
During every break we have the music and spotlights swooping all around the arena.
They had better not 'whoop-up' Wimbledon. Now that would be the last straw!

I cannot describe how much I loathe all this 'jazzing up' , and ballyhoo.
Dry ice in doorways I noticed today.
Walking hand-in-hand with a small child has always looked dodgy to me.
PA announcers shouting their heads off. Hideous music. Flasahing swooping lights.
I hate the whole business.
Except for the tennis.
But it does intrude on the match atmosphere sadly.
Today - now - we have Roger Federer and Andy Murray.

I'm not keen on all the lights and loud music during changeovers either.
I don't mind the bright coloured tennis kits that Nadal etc wear(although NOT at Wimbledon, that must always be a white dress code), but to hear the Killers whilst the players are changing ends is strange, don't think I could ever get used to it.

Might try and catch the second semi-final online later
