oooh does it?

Did you have Modern Warfare II?

I ask this because its my son's birthday on the 19th Nov.   We have got him the PS3, the Move Pack, some Move games, but he asked for COD Modern Warfare II cos all his mates play it.   After looking around I did ask him if he was sure he wanted the MWII when Black Ops was coming out.

He is still saying to get Modern Warfare II...

I dunno what to do now..     I suppose his mates will get Black Ops for xmas, I suppose he could get Black Ops for xmas (or with his birthday money)...

I know I am gonna end up getting him both!

Yep, I did get Modern Warfare 2. You son will want Black Ops if he likes Modern Warfare 2.

Asda are also selling around the same price as Sainsbury's.

Game are selling at ÂĢ44.99 but you can get it for ÂĢ24.99 if you buy another game from their top ten chart. I think Tescos & Morrisons are doing the same deal as Game.

Off to play at bit more now. Bye.

For games like this I tend to wait until a few weeks after the launch to see if people think it's been worth the hype. Might buy it for my PS3 in a month or so time if people think it's worth it, but for now I'll stick with Fifa 11.

As for old school 2d games, you cannot look beyond Sonic for the Megadrive. Nothing will ever beat that! It was that good I even bought it for my PS2 a few years ago.

I feel sorry for anyone who has a wii I had mine for all of 2 days and had to get rid.

Why?

Maybe if you were more open minded you would realise that it has some amazing games. I have both a Wii and a 360 and prefer the Wii due to its better games.

360 and PS3 are swamped with generic first person shooters and unimaginative adventure games.

Oh and Sonic? I think Mario kinda trumps that turd, in every game he's been in

we have the wii...  and it does get used... but not on a daily basis  (not since we finished Super Galaxy Mario.   We tend to use it most when we have friends round, or family competition nights. Or hubby is putting off doing something important & decides Mariocart neeeeeeeeds him.

And we have PS2... soon to be PS3....  that does get used on a daily basis...  Fifa, Lego Starwars, singstar (I love singstar)...   Also, though the Eye Toy was a pain in the rear in terms of getting it trace your movements...  the workout games were way better than Wii Fit.

I had the Nike Kinetics for Eye Toy ...  and I loved it.   Martial art-tastic!

Fingers crossed they will bring out the Kinetics for the PS3 Move.

Amazing games like what?

The reason I didn't like it was because the games I like are better for the PS3 than they are for the wii. The graphics are better too.
The sporty games like tennis was fun for about 2 days, until the novelty wore off and I realised that if I wanted to physically play tennis then it's better to actually go and physically play tennis on a real court.
I admit Super Mario for the wii is quite good, but not worth keeping it over.

See, you just proved me right.

Games aren't about graphics, they are about gameplay. XBOX 360 and PS3 but all the effort into making things look 'real' that gameplay takes a nose dive.

There are many, many fantastic games on the Wii, and since you asked:

Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Fire Emblem
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Mario Kart Wii
Monster Hunter Tri
No More Heroes
No More Heroes 2
Tatsunoko Vs Capcom
Goldeneye
Metroid: Other M
Little Kings Story
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Batallion Wars 2
Super Smash Bros Brawl

Its just such a shame that these games get overlooked in favour of the bull crap that swamps the Wii like 'Carnival Games' and Wii Fit.

The same can be said for the countless sport games that get released every year. If you wanna play football go outside and play it. Don't tell me that FiFA 2010 is so much better then its previous games.

You are totally missing my point. I'm talking about the wii games where you have to physically swing your arms as if you're really playing tennis, if you wanna do that, go and do it on a tennis court. Pressing a few buttons on a PS3 controller to move players around on Fifa 11 is not football. You can't go outside and do that.

Your missing the point too, swinging the wii remote is not just what the Wii is about. Sure there are 'party' games that involve this but there are LOADS more games that have more depth and aren't all about 'motion control', and there are more to come.

However, it seems the roles are changing. More and more games coming out for the Wii are all about standard control and Sony and Microsoft are heading into 'motion control', which could be there downfall as 'motion control' is really just a novelty, that people will get fed up with.....kinda like 3D films.
