The BBC news mentioned that The Royal British Legion have released a 2 minute single which will be silent to mark the 2 minute silence. There is an associated video showing various people including David Tennant and David Cameron saying nothing. The single and video are available online to download at a cost of ÂĢ1. Facebook has already set up a page for this, but it seems right to post a link on Gagajoyjoy. They hope that enough people will download the single over the next few days to be the next number one.

Hopefully no-one associated with John Cage has sued for copyright yet
They should be safe as their's is two minutes long with video, but his is 4 minutes 33 seconds long without video (and is called that). Though apparently there is a Facebook campaign to try to get Cage's piece into the number one spot for this Christmas. The Wiki article on 4.33 has already been updated to mention the similarity between the two.

Though Cage being American, some American lawyers may decide to try, but the 2 minutes silence we know was held 11 November 1919 well before Cage did his.
