Long story, but basically his family don't know that he's gay or even that he lives with anyone, and she announced she was gonna visit from Japan. Result was that I had to move out, along with possessions and cat, until she'd gone. She demanded to visit even though he told her repeatedly that it wasn't convenient, then took over his life while she was here.

Let's just say that I'm glad I'm not Japanese!
