Bit of a long story and i'm going to bed soon but all replies i will read tommorow  my daughter's friend is being attack by a group of girls to and from school and my daughter is worried about her and i've given as much advice as i can but this girl won't tell her mum as she is worried thing's will get worse for her and i don't the girl's mum personally

I think the cause of the problem is she comes from one area and goes to school in another and the kids from her area are attacking her for this reason, she is a sporty kid (about 5ft 10) and not your bitchy type, when she got too school on Monday she had blurred vision from being head butted in the face
My daughter admitted too me she had been approached by 2 girls older than her a year ago (calling her 4 eyes)  and she said she would never fight (she is not little) cause she knew there would be more of them the next day, my pots got a good bashing yesterday

My daughter stayed for a hockey match today that finished at 5 and she got my dad too pick her up cause it was dark  it makes my blood boil, these girls are 15/16 and can't walk or travel home, i know what i'd do too them but that's not the answer

Oh God, how horrible And what a worry for the girls AND for you too. The thing is, although these girls are at an age where the police could take action, I can fully understand why your daughter and her friend are reluctant to do so. It's so difficult with kids of that age cos they think they can take on the whole world, the girls are worse too.

Would it be worth going to see the parents? If not, how about talking to the local police and explaining the situation? They would understand her/their fears of not wanting to be a grass but should be able to provide some kind of presence or security for this. I don't mean for this to sound crass or dismissive in any way, but hopefully the 'buzz' of this for the girls will wear off and they'll stop soon. The only reason they're doing this is because the girls are doing well for themselves, not interested in being the layabout chavs that the bullies are and actually want to DO something with their lives. It's bloody heartbreaking when your child is getting bullied or you find out about anyone harming them. I went through it with my son (but he's younger). Like your daughter, he is well above average height and weight for his age and wouldn't fight back for more or less the same reasons your daughter said. In the end though on the last day of primary school last summer he snapped, had a fight with the ringleader and broke his nose and leg. Since then he's not had an ounce of trouble (touch wood).

Not suggesting that's the solution at ALL cos it isn't and it should never get to that stage. I have approached parents in the past and have managed to get situations sorted, or older siblings of the bullies who had more sense. I've also talked to the police and I did find them helpful at the time. It might be worth considering and you'll feel a lot better if you know you've alerted someone who has the power to do something about it.

God I've rambled on again mate, sorry x

Thanks Karma  my daughter walks home most of the time in shorts, football socks and a hockey stick thrown over her back  but she's a nice looking girl (mothers view)  but i would kill anyone that hurt her and she knows that and that's why she didn't tell me at the time, but this poor girl didn't go too school yesterday cause she was too scared  she told her mum she was i'll, i want too help this girl but i don't know how without betraying my daughter, what makes me sick is the bullies are having a peaceful nights sleep, while my daughters mate is probably lying awake wondering if she will get smacked on the way too school

Go to the police and make sure they contact the girls parents. There really isn't anything to think about in a situation such as this other than it has to be dealt with immediately. This poor girl sounds like she's going through hell. As Hobbes said, you're the adult, take it upon yourself to put an end to it and make sure both girls get police protection while the lowlifes are smoked out and dealt with in a manner that ensure they will be no threat to anyone.

Go to the school and insist they do something about it then.  How would you feel if the shoe was on the other foot and that girl's Mother stood by and did nothing if it was your daughter?
I have to agree with this post. You have to do something even if you do it anonymously. Before it escalates and get's completely out of control. A child being head butted until her vision is blurry is in danger.
