Television actress Denise Borino-Quinn has died at the age of 46.

Borino-Quinn died on Wednesday after a long battle with liver cancer.

She was best known for her supporting role on the HBO series The Sopranos, in which she played mafia boss Johnny Sack's wife Ginny Sacrimoni, who suffered with weight issues throughout the course of the series.

Borino-Quinn, who had previously worked as a legal secretary, won the role in an open casting call of over 14,000 other actresses.

Her death comes only seven months after her husband Luke Quinn Jr. passed away.

I have to say I have no idea who she was, never having watched the sopranos, however  liver cancer is a most pernicious disease, sadly it still has a stigma attached to it...as in oh drank too much etc..not true in the majority of cases. The liver is the filter etc of the body, you have to treat the body well to help the liver. But even the most healthy person can get liver problems.
