Run it under cold water now!

how have you done that?

I did it a couple of hours ago and it's bin in cold water most of the night - just got a cool wet cloth on it at the mo

cooking - that it's from now on I live on takeaways

I did the same (or similar) over Christmas. I was boiling potatoes and the handle was on the inside and I completely forgot

PP, Have you taken the cloth off yet? Be careful...your skin could peel off onto the cloth if it`s a bad burn. I just know the basics. Any nurses on here to help?

I have to tell everyone this! 

Lavender essential oil is absolutely the best thing to put on a burn, i keep a bottle in the kitchen - a few drops as soon as possible ....and within 5 minutes yo'll barely know it happened.

me too Scotty .... for some reason I seem to do it more at the weekend ......but it really is astonishingly effective well worth dusting off the cobwebs!

I'm sure people think i've been trying too slit my wrists as i've always got a scar from the shelves on my oven on my arm

Nothing worse than a burn, i had one from cooking days at school that just dissapeared so many years later,  in time for one on my protruding belly when i was 8 months pregnant, i burned it on the iron. I couldnt get near enough the ironing board. 

Evelyn I was referring to another thread made by the OP in which she highlighted how unfair it is that disabled people should be given advantages over able-bodied people. The OP knows exactly what I mean

What! even a burn on a huge preggie tummy?   I don't know who jumped the most. My belly button has never looked  the same since.

PP, I hope your hand isn't too painful today. I keep some Flamazine cream to use on minor burns and scalds, it's very good.

oh yeah I did that.. well I jumped on one years ago.. not on purpose, was mad dancing and landed on an upturned plug... twas bliddy agony

Wouldn't be as bad if I actually said what he/she is accusing me of - aahhh well boredom really is crippling for some poeple.


Thanks to everyone else for your messages - tis  alot better today though still feel sorry for myself every time I look at it.  And I have to talk from experience when I say standing on a plug really is painful - I would have to say on a par with this pain.
