My passport arrived yesterday, I've not had one for over 10 years, and decided to repapply again for it, what a palava, I applied in June and it's finally here, I'm not actually going anywhere yet, but it's always good to have one isn't?. I may be going to Poland in about 8 months, my freind is marrying his Polish girlfreind there and so they have invited me to come along.

Glad it's arrived OK Poolshark. Personally, I think it is always as well to have a passport
Why on earth did it take so long Pooly? Perhaps I ought to apply for mine now, rather than leaving it to closer.
Why did it take so long? Were they checking with Interpol or summat?
Loads of problems, first they said they could not get hold of my mate who signed my photos, but he was on holiday in The Grand Canaries at the time, then got him to resign the photos again, then they said they needed a new person to sign the photos, also they said they had sent me a new passport years ago, of which neither me nor my father knew anything about, also they said they needed a copy of a Naturalisation Certificate (which I could not get hold of), then they said they did not need that!. It was doing my nut in, but it's all sorted now. I originally decided to get a passport after he last time I got made redundant, every job agency I went to would not get me a job coz I din't have any official ID. Luckily my new job were understanding and I've been working since March and in a well paid job, so I saved up straight away and got a passport just in case I ever end up in that position again.

Never crossed my mind, honest
When I wanted my passport renewing earlier this year, I went to the post office and took my documents in on the Friday, I paid ÂĢ7 for them to check them and put them through their system. My new passport arrived on the following Wednesday lunchtime by courier.
I paid the ÂĢ7 as well for my daughters (it was her first) and it took about 10 days and a courier brought it and the next day he brought all the paperwork
